Our story
Built by riders, for riders
It started with one bridle that wouldn't quit.
Leather Porter began in a small tack room, repairing and remaking gear for the riders at our local barn. We saw the same problem again and again: tack that looked good in the store and fell apart after one season.
So we started making our own. Full-grain hides, hand saddle-stitching and hardware that doesn't rust. Today we outfit riders across the United States, and every leather piece is still finished by hand.

Made to last
We'd rather sell you one bridle for ten years than ten bridles in ten years.
Horse comes first
Padded crowns, smooth edges, honest fit. We design around the horse's comfort, then make it look good.
Finished by hand
Full-grain hides, hand saddle-stitching and hardware that doesn't rust. Every leather piece is still finished by hand.
